• Is communication balanced?

  • All tasks about the same

• Is communication limited to neighborhoods?

  • Restructure global to local if possible.

• Can communications proceed concurrently?

• Can the algorithm proceed concurrently?

  • Find the algorithm with most concurrency.
    • Be careful!!!
