| A copy of Michaelangelo's David |
|
There was a ton of great, cultural, artsy stuff in Florence, but I didn't get too many pictures of it. We saw the real David in the Galleria del Academia. The one to the left is in Michaelangelo's Plaza overlooking Florence. We stood in line for one and a half hours to get into the Ufittzi museum, which has a large collection of Rennaisance works by Boticelli, Da Vinci, Rafael, Michaelangelo, etc. etc. There were also some very impressive churches in Florence, the largest of which was Il Duomo ("the dome") below. In the Church of Santa Croce (Holy Cross) we saw Michaelangelo's tomb and some other fun stuff, but my pictures didn't come out very well.
